Fox Tail Mead

Just wanted to share the magic going on in my kitchen.

This is a rhubarb/berry mead. The rhubarb is harvested from my Mom and Dad's garden. The berries are just your standard, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. Almost 3kg of local wildflower honey, and champagne yeast to bump up the alcohol levels.

I'm hoping for about a 7% alcohol level in the end. Finger's crossed!

Also working on a ginger beer plant. Not sure about that one, but we'll see.

Not sure if this looks appetizing but it's got alcohol in it so I think I'd give it a try...is it gluten free? I really think you should have got the science degree...it really is right up your alley.

I'm fairly certain that it's gluten free, I'll double check the yeast nutrient to be certain. All the fermentables are gluten free though.

The problem with the science degree is that I only enjoy science as long as I'm making fun or interesting things with it. Serving the common goal of the people bores me :p
